Rooms and suites
We have 4 delightful spacious main rooms, each featuring
a kingsize four poster canopy bed, sofa , rolltop desk,
fridge, satellite t.v., airconditioning and ensuite
bathroom. These rooms have a garden view and are entered
by way of the large back patio. Each one is decorated
differently. Main room (with 1 large bed) - call for rates.
Room rates include VAT, full English breakfast,
safe parking and free Internet access.
The Mama Jytte Suite
The Mama Jytte suite is a lovely room with additional
living room. It has 2 single four poster beds, airconditioning,
Satellite t.v., sofa, ensuite bathroom, desk, fridge,
and garden view. You have your own private entrance
from the front veranda. This suite is decorated with
antiques from Zanzibar and the linens are all woven
by the Ifikara womens co-operative. It is named for
our very good friend Jytte a Danish lady who with her
husband gave much input into the hotel, and was invaluable
on advising us and giving suggestions on how to make
your stay with us more pleasant.

The
Uncle James Suite
The Uncle James suite is very special, It is an extremely
large 3 room unit. It can easily fit 5 adults and there
are fold out beds for children. There are 2 huge bedrooms
each containing 1 kingsize four poster canopy bed, armoire,
airconditioning and desk. The living room has a sofa,
satellite t.v., fridge and double day bed. There is
1 main bathroom with bath and shower. You access the
Uncle James seperatly from the main hotel and have your
own private patio. It is ideal for the business traveller
on a longer stay or for larger families who want space
for small children. Uncle James was a local character
who had had a most interesting life. He had a favorite
table in the restaurant and loved to sit on the verandha
and tell stories about his time with Montgomery and
life in Tanzania in the 30’s.
